Xbox 360 | Game Party: In Motion slated for Kinect launch

E3 2010: Warner Bros. Interactive's party game series expands to Microsoft's new motion-control tech in November.

LOS ANGELES--Branching out from Game Party for the Wii, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment set its sights on the Xbox 360's newest piece of technology, and today revealed Game Party: In Motion for Kinect. Arriving November 4 as a launch title, In Motion for Microsoft's full-body motion-sensing technology brings sports and arcade games to the newly-renamed hardware.

Packed inside the wrapping will be a total of 16 minigames, including sports games Hoop Shoot and Darts, as well as arcade classics Rootbeer Tapper, table hockey, and others. To play the titles, players will use their body as the controller to manipulate on-screen events. What's more, users can use their customized Avatars to play the aforesaid games.

In addition to local multiplayer, In Motion connects with Xbox Live to allow users to challenge friends over the Internet, and also connects with Facebook, giving users the ability to pose their in-game achievements to their Facebook wall.

Game Party: In Motion is currently in development at FarSight Studios, and will release November 4, when Microsoft unleashes Kinect. Warner Bros. bought Midway in 2009, and acquired the rights to the Game Party series. In Motion is the first Game Party title published by WBIE.
