Xbox 360 | Greed Corp gets initial public offering
W!Games… environmentally themed turn-based strategy game arrives for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 downloadable services next week.
Greed, it has been said, is good. Gamers will get a chance to come to their own conclusions about that next week, as Amsterdam-based W!Games has confirmed the imminent arrival of its turn-based strategy game Greed Corp for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The downloadable game will arrive on Microsoft…s Xbox Live Marketplace Wednesday, February 23, with the PS3 edition arriving as part of the February 24 PlayStation Network update.
Greed Corp pits the military might of up to four players in heated battle against one another on a hexagonal playfield. As collapsing hexagons reshape the battle, players will have to make strategic compromises, balancing the need to destroy land for resources or to thwart opponents… schemes with the need to preserve it for their own safety.
The game is the first title set in the Mistbound universe, a world created by W!Games to host a series of titles. Previously a lush and inviting place, Mistbound has been despoiled by an industrial revolution that now threatens both the people and the land itself.
